While growing up in Yardley, Pennsylvania, Doug Eberhart had a passion for sports and a flair for expressing himself. It was no surprise, then, that he decided to pursue a career in sportscasting. The best way to reach this goal, he was told, would be to involve himself in activities that required him to “think on his feet.” So Doug started acting in school plays and joined his high school forensics (speech & debate) team, where he enjoyed success early on. By his senior year, Doug’s speaking skills had become so sharp that he was winning tournaments in the Persuasive Speaking category on a regular basis.

After high school, it was on to Ithaca College’s prestigious School of Communications. A TV/Radio major, Doug’s mission was to become a sportscaster. The college had its own radio and TV stations, so Doug went to work right away to get the “on air” experience he would need. Opportunities were plentiful at Ithaca, and Doug made the most of them. After spending four years perfecting his craft in college, Doug felt he was ready to put his talents to work in the real world.

Shortly after graduation, he parlayed his broadcasting skills into a sports anchor/reporter job with KCAU-TV, the ABC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa (130th market). After three years there, he landed a similar position with WSPA-TV (CBS) in Spartanburg, South Carolina (35th market). Doug spent four years down south, covering high school, college, and professional sports. There was plenty of "behind the scenes" work to do, but he enjoyed his time in front of the camera the most, and that's where he felt most comfortable. Seven years in the TV news business not only helped him develop an engaging speaking style, but also taught him how to master the art of the "ad-lib" and how to handle deadline pressure. As it turned out, those skills would serve him well in his next venture: as a freelance on-camera and voice-over talent.

In 1994, Doug returned to his native Pennsylvania, and began working on a wide range of projects, mainly industrials and commercials. Gradually, he built up an extensive and loyal clientele. Today, he is considered one of the most respected talents in the tri-state area, a consummate professional who believes that a job worth doing is a job worth doing well!
